The Air Jordan 5 (V) Retro Low WMNS Black / Metallic Silver / White were released on January 20, 2007. Originally, Jordan Brand did not release women ' s models until the demand grew for women ' s and kid sizes. These Jordan shoes are very similar to the men ' s classic Air Jordan 5 (V) Retro 3/4 High Men White / Metallic Silver / Black, but in a low top version. They did not sell as well, as many stores were even forced to put them on clearance at one point. They would have probably sold better as a men ' s release, but then again who really knows. They feature an all white leather upper, with metallic silver shark teeth designs at the midsole. The Air Jordan 5 (V) is rumored to have been inspired by the World War II Mustang Fighter plane, and the shark teeth are the most obvious elements.
